Hutto trash service runs through Al Clawson Disposal, and Hutto is the outlier among the cities we serve: trash and recycling are both weekly. Collection day is assigned by subdivision rather than by a citywide zone map, carts go out by 6 a.m., and city ordinance says containers must be off the curb by the next morning.

Hutto Collection Rules That Affect Your Bins

Star Ranch is served by Al Clawson Disposal under contract with the City of Hutto. Hutto is the one city we serve with weekly trash and weekly recycling, and your collection day is assigned by subdivision rather than by a citywide zone map. Carts come in 95 or 65 gallon sizes and need to be out by 6 a.m. City ordinance is direct about the other end of it: garbage containers must be removed from the curb by the next morning.

Weekly recycling means the blue cart in Hutto works twice as hard as it does anywhere else we serve, and it shows. Crushed cans, bottle residue, and cardboard that got rained on all leave the same film behind.
