Moving into a new home is exciting. You have thought about everything the mortgage, the movers, the furniture layout, the change of address forms. But there is one thing almost every new homeowner forgets: the trash bins.
What the Previous Owners Left Behind
When you buy a home in Pflugerville, Round Rock, or Hutto, the trash and recycling bins typically transfer with the property. Those bins may not have been cleaned in years. In Texas heat, years of accumulated grease and food residue create a problem a garden hose will not solve.
A bin that has not been washed in years carries baked-on residue and odor. Starting in a new home with professionally cleaned bins is a simple way to avoid inheriting the previous owner's habits.
The Move-In Clean
A one-time move-in cleaning is $50 for one bin, plus $10 for each additional bin, with no recurring commitment. This includes hot pressure wash at temperatures up to 250°F, an EPA-registered disinfectant applied per label, and an odor-control treatment. Most new homeowners do the trash cart and the recycling cart together, which is $50 plus $10 for the second bin.
Setting Up Recurring Service
After your move-in clean, most homeowners choose to start a recurring monthly or every 2 months plan so they never have to think about their bins again. Plans start at $20 per completed visit for one bin or $25 for two bins, plus $5 for each additional bin, on an initial 12-month commitment with no upfront payment. These are our current launch prices; customers who enroll at a launch price keep that price for their initial 12-month term.
New Construction Communities
If you are moving into a new construction home in communities like Whisper Valley in Manor, Star Ranch in Hutto, or Paloma Lake in Round Rock, your bins are new but will need regular cleaning from the start. Texas heat does not care that your bin is new. Starting a cleaning routine from month one keeps residue and odor from building up.
